I'm Amy - A partner, mother, and the face behind Halo & Kin. I’ve always been the person behind the camera, capturing the details, the milestones, and the little moments that often pass by too quickly.

But after becoming a mother to my daughter, my love for photography grew into something much more meaningful. I realised just how precious those fleeting moments are, and how important it is to preserve them.

What does a session cost, and what's included?

Photography sessions start from £120, with each package clearly outlining what's included. Most sessions include up to an hour of photography, 6 professionally edited digital images and a private online gallery where you can view and download your favourites. Additional images are available to purchase, and you'll receive all the details before booking so you know exactly what to expect.

How long will it take to receive my photographs?

Your beautifully edited gallery will be ready within 4 weeks of your session, although I always aim to deliver sooner where possible. Every image is carefully selected and edited with love, ensuring you receive photographs you'll treasure for years to come.

How do I know if Halo & Kin is right for us?

If you love natural, timeless photographs that capture genuine connections and all the little moments in between, you're in the right place. My sessions are relaxed and welcoming, with a gentle mix of guidance and natural moments. Whether you're comfortable in front of the camera or feeling a little nervous, I'll help you feel at ease and capture your family just as you are.

We've had photographs taken before and felt awkward. What if that happens again?

Please don't worry! You don't need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands. I'll gently guide you throughout your session, helping you feel comfortable and relaxed. There's no pressure to be perfect. Some of the loveliest photographs come from the little in-between moments, when you're simply enjoying being together.

When is the best time to book a newborn session?

I recommend getting in touch during your pregnancy after your 20-week scan to secure a space around your due date. Newborn sessions are often best within the first two weeks, when babies tend to be sleepier and naturally curl into those lovely newborn poses. However, there's absolutely no strict deadline. Older newborns are just as welcome, and we'll always work around you and your baby.

Sessions are completely baby-led, with plenty of time for feeding, changing and those all-important cwtches.

My toddler won't sit still. Will we still get lovely photographs?

Absolutely! As a mum to a little one myself, I know that toddlers have their own ideas, and that's all part of the fun. There's no expectation for them to sit perfectly still or smile on command. We'll make time for playing, exploring and plenty of little breaks, capturing their personality and those lovely, natural moments along the way.

What should we wear for our session?

Don't worry, I'm here to help! You'll receive outfit and colour guidance ahead of your session so you can feel confident in what you choose. Soft neutrals or denim photograph beautifully in my studio. I recommend avoiding bold patterns and bright colours to keep your photographs looking soft and timeless.

I also have a small selection of maternity gowns and children's studio outfits available to use, if you wish.
